BREAK FREE FROM YOUR ADULT CONSTRAINTS And Learn to Be a Kid Again!
Many of us have fond memories from our childhoods we like to revisit when things get tough in our adult lives. As we grow older and experience new situations, our
to experience more freedom so they can learn to think and act for themselves. When we constantly watch our kids and tell them what to do, we do them a disservice, as they’ll have a hard time thinking for themselves in the future. This doesn’t mean you should let your kids run wild through the community, though! Give them limitations on how far they can travel, check in with them often, and ensure they know what to do in case trouble occurs. It will help them find greater success later in life. By reconnecting with our childhood memories, we can even recapture some of that childlike wonder that leaves us as we grow older. My husband is the perfect example of this. He’s able to have fun in
perspectives change. While we can certainly view this as a good thing, we also lose specific characteristics with age. We might not be as playful or carefree as we once were, but in July, we get an opportunity to reconnect with these feelings, memories, and perspectives when we celebrate National Be a Kid Again Day!
I had a wonderful childhood, and even though I was quite a bit more serious than other kids my age, I still had some truly fun experiences. One of my favorite memories to reflect on involves an annual beach holiday to the Caspian Sea. We would always travel with my siblings and parents as well as our close family friends and their kids. It was just a fun and carefree time. I was able to just live in the moment and do whatever I wanted. I didn’t have to worry about where my food came from or anything. It was easy to enjoy the trip because I didn’t need to worry about planning what we would do or any other responsibilities. I believe we can learn a lot of things by looking back at these memories and observing our own kids. They can teach us how to be carefree and live without worries. As adults, we tend to overanalyze every single situation that crosses our path. We worry we’ll make a mistake or lose out on something by acting in our own best interest. Kids don’t have this dilemma. If they want to do something, nothing will hold them back. Many kids aren’t getting the same experiences we had as children because so much fear exists in our world today. Most kids aren’t allowed to play at the park or around the neighborhood without a parent actively accompanying them. Kids should have the opportunity
everything he does. He stays active, tries new activities, and works his hardest to remain a kid at heart. He just started mountain biking a year ago and is already beginning to outpace many younger riders. He doesn’t let his age stand in his way and is much happier as a result. Our childhood was a huge part of our lives, and for many of us, it helped shape us into who we are today. This month, take some time to reconnect with your childhood and remember the good times. It might even help you live more carefree in the present!

The Secret to Invisalign Success
DON’T MAKE THESE COMMON MISTAKES
When you first start wearing Invisalign, there are several behaviors you must learn to avoid. You may have gone the Invisalign route because you wanted something that was more low-maintenance and worked faster than traditional braces, but that doesn’t mean you can carry on as if you’re not wearing any orthodontic appliance. Below, you’ll find three of the most common mistakes we see with our patients wearing Invisalign and how to avoid making them.
FIDGETING WITH YOUR INVISALIGN Like most things in life, there will be an adjustment when you first start wearing your aligners. It will feel like there is something foreign in your mouth, and your tongue will want to investigate. Depending on how much pressure you apply and where your tongue is fidgeting, you could injure or scratch up your tongue. Also, avoid clicking the aligners in and out of
position. It doesn’t take long to get used to your new aligners. After a few days, you won’t even notice they’re there, so be cautious during those first few days to ensure you’re not fidgeting with your aligners too much.
DRINKING FLUIDS OTHER THAN WATER It can be easy to reach for a soda while working or grab a sports drink after a workout, but you must be careful about drinking these items while wearing your aligners. Carbonated water and sugar can harm the materials in your Invisalign, causing them to degrade, deteriorate, and possibly even become discolored. It’s easy to remember to take out your Invisalign before a meal, but make sure you take them out before drinking anything other than water.
ATTEMPTING TO SPEED UP TREATMENT We understand that you want your teeth
to be straighter as soon as possible, but the process does take time. Do not skip ahead on your trays, thinking this will speed up your treatment. This can be horribly damaging to your smile. By jumping ahead and using future trays, your teeth could
become loose, destabilized, and might even fall out.

Get the Straight Smile You’ve Always Wanted
It’s Never Too Late for a Confident Smile
Have you ever wished you had a straighter smile? Many adults are under the impression they missed out on their opportunity for straighter teeth since they didn’t have braces as a child or didn’t wear their retainers after initially receiving orthodontic treatment. If you’re worried you are too old for orthodontics, think again! Orthodontic treatment can be just as successful for adults as it is for children. Orthodontic treatment has come a long way in recent years. Straightening your teeth is more comfortable and less noticeable than ever before, especially for those who use Invisalign. Every patient who steps through our doors is a candidate for Invisalign. While it is certainly possible for adults to undergo orthodontic treatment, there are some things you should be aware of before
starting. First, understand that you are fully grown, which means treatment might take longer for you than for a child. Adults are also more likely

Discover Your Ideal Seaside Retreat
FIND THE PERFECT BEACH RENTAL
One of the most important decisions anyone will make regarding their vacation is where they stay. This is especially true for summer vacations at the beach. Everyone has a different idea of their ideal vacation, and where you stay can make or break the trip.
a grand view of the beach and the ocean worth the cost, or is one without quite the view (but less expensive) still acceptable? You’ll also need to examine the surrounding area to ensure it has everything you need. If you don’t want to drive much once you settle in, choose a rental within walking distance of the beach, shops, and restaurants.
Here are a few things to consider before booking a beach rental for your vacation.
SIZE MATTERS How many people are coming on your trip? Is it just you and your significant other, or are children coming? You will want to pick a rental to fit your family’s needs. If your traveling party is small, a condo or apartment overlooking the beach will likely work. If your family is large or you’re worried about the kids being too loud, consider a single-family beach house instead.
THE EXTRAS You should consider a couple of other things when booking a beach rental. If you plan to bring your pets, ensure the rental you book is pet-friendly. It’s also worth investigating if the beach itself is dog-friendly, as bringing your furry friend to the beach can make the vacation even more enjoyable. Many rentals also provide beach toys, body boards, and more so you don’t have to spend money buying or renting them at shops. Read through the rental description, and don’t hesitate to ask the owner any questions.
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION You probably already know what beach to visit, but choosing a specific unit can be challenging. Is a rental with
