company updates

distracted driving initiative to drive without distractions what we are doing Our parent company, APi Group, is working to raise awareness about the risks to yourself and others when driving distracted. In 2017, more than 40,000 people lost their lives in motor vehicle accidents, with distracted driving being the leading cause. The APi Group family of companies is taking steps to lower this number through the Driving Without Distractions Initiative. To make this happen, APi will be implementing a zero use of electronic devices policy while driving in 2018 and has plans to deploy a control/ monitoring tool by 2019. Although we understand driving without distractions is not always easy and will require changing habits and routines, we strongly believe this is an important initiative that will hopefully inspire not only our organization, but those we work with.

safety week 2018 extinguisher training api nsg puts out fires

On May 7- 11th, we celebrated Safety Week which included challenges and educational activities to raise awareness. Sometimes we take safety measures for granted and choose to ignore them. It’s often not until something bad happens that we realize how important they are and why they’re in place. One activity our team participated in during safety week was an extinguisher training session. The New Brighton Fire Department came out to show us the proper way to put out a fire as quickly as possible. Our employees learned a lot, and many have thankfully never had to use one!
