Getting Settled Requirements To register to vote you must meet these requirements: • Be a citizen of the United States and resident of Indiana. • Those who will be at least 18 years of age on or before the next election. • Not be in prison after having been convicted of a crime.
Ways to Register to Vote
Register Online If you currently have an Indiana Driver’s License or State ID card, you may register to vote online. Just visit Indiana Voters and select one of the register to vote online links.
Register In Person
You may register at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles or the Perry County Clerk’s office.
Voting Absentee Voters wishing to vote absentee by mail must submit an Application for Absentee Ballot in order to receive a ballot by mail. Requests must be received in the Clerk’s Office by the Monday one week prior to Election Day. The deadline to submit an Application for Absentee Ballot requesting to vote before the Travel Board is at Noon on the Monday before Election Day. Applications can be obtained from the Clerk’s Office or online at Indiana Voters.
