United Way of Broward County established MISSION UNITED in 2013 to support U.S. military service members, Veterans and their families. The program concentrates on six essential areas: housing support, employment services, education, legal assistance, health and financial stability.
Over the past 10 years, MISSION UNITED has become a critical program in Broward County. Since inception, it has provided more than
20,000 Veterans with supportive services to help them acclimate to civilian life. The program was recognized and adopted by United Way Worldwide and has expanded to United Ways across the U.S.
