ELECTRICAL SAFETY
Everyone knows that electricity can be dangerous – that’s why Fluke emphasizes safety in everything they do. Remember you are the most important asset on the job. Make sure that you are properly trained with formal specialized training with a certified instructor and make sure that you follow company policies, procedures, OSHA, and industry best practice standards and the National Fire Protection Association, NFPA the standard for electrical safety in the workplace or the National Electrical Safety Handbook NESC ® Many countries reference IEC60364, the Canadian Electrical Code or the German electrical code DINvDE. Assess electrical hazards during the pre-job planning then carefully follow company guideline for lock out and tag out and use personal protective equipment PPE.
Remember to check you meter with a live-dead-live test and always assume the equipment is energized until you verify the absence of voltage – your life depends upon it
