EDINA UK LTD
Edina’s manufacturing facility at Lisburn, Northern Ireland.
Since winning The Queen’s Award for Enterprise within the innovation category 2014 for its work in the renewables sector, converting waste-to-energy, EDINA has experienced tremendous growth in supplying, installing and maintaining gas engine combined heat and power (CHP) solutions across industries within the UK, Ireland and Australia. In November 2017, Edina reported its biggest milestone to date installing over 500 megawatt (MW) of electrical installed gas capacity within these territories in under 11 years. This achievement demonstrates Edina’s clear drive and commitment in delivering an environmental friendly, market leading decentralised energy solution for its clients.
investment of the generating asset. The production of power close to the point of use supports mission critical infrastructures such as hospitals to maintain security of supply. Universities, public, commercial and industrial buildings, and the agricultural sector also benet from CHP application in reducing energy costs, carbon emissions, as well as income generation from the sale of electricity. Edina’s power generation solution can be installed within an existing building, new energy centre or containerised within an internal and external infrastructure. carbon emissions and maintain security of power supply. Edina is also instrumental in delivering peak-lopping power plants to maintain security of power and balance the electricity grid. Peak- lopping power plants operate when supply from solar and wind renewable power cannot meet the demand placed on the electricity grid during peak times of the day. Edina’s portfolio includes over 190MWe installed generation and a further 140MWe in build. Edina remains committed in delivering cost eective power generation solutions that demonstrate a reduction in emissions, energy savings, driving growth and business competitiveness.
Since 2006, Edina was awarded the ocial distributor for MWM gas engine technology in the UK and Ireland and rst secured its rst engine order at Leeds General Inrmary Hospital. The 3.9MWe CHP plant powers the hospital site and some University buildings, whilst reducing the hospitals energy costs and carbon emissions. To date, Edina’s solution has been

and commissioning. Due to its modular design,
the container can be rapidly disassembled and redeployed, oering a low risk and attractive proposition for asset funders. With a portfolio spanning a number of high prole clients, Edina’s power generation solution have supported; Thames Water, E.ON’s London Citigen district heating scheme, Bank of Ireland, Arla Foods, the NHS Trust, Gateshead Council and recently announced projects with BAE Systems Portsmouth Naval Base to reduce energy costs,
installed in over 230 power generation projects across the UK, Ireland and Australia, operating on natural gas, biogas, landll gas, sewage gas and greenhouse applications. These gas applications, when used as fuel in an MWM reciprocating gas engine, simultaneously produce electricity, heat, steam and cooling. The energy produced oers a low cost, sustainable solution whilst also providing a quick return on
