The AI controller uses information from environmental sensors and from noninvasive health devices like blood pressure monitors, ECG patches, glucose patches and/or medical smartwatches. The demo is based on the S32K5 virtual development kit and highlights the HW- enforced isolation between co-resident applications, along with Green Hills hypervisor-based solution which provides software flexibility. Using the Synopsys’s VDK, we demonstrate how the new S32K5 MCU family enables safe consolidation of mixed- criticality functions in the zone, which helps to reduce vehicle BOM cost and simplify software development & maintenance.

The demo showcases the UWB wireless battery management system (BMS) for data communications inside the battery pack. It simplifies EV assembly, enables increased battery energy density and decouples mechanical and electrical development. NXP offers common software architecture and safety libraries for wired and wireless BMS solutions, both demonstrated in this demo. This full Battery Management System demonstration also features our all-in-one ASIL D battery junction box device, the MC33777 BJB which closely monitors the system’s current and high-voltage.
