Cryptic Scavenger Hunt Mixed pairs (with iPads) will deduce cryptic clues and then photograph the answer around the Junior College Campus. Carpe diem! How to connect with a Roman Salvete omnes! Pupils will learn some basic conversational Latin, including how to get by at a local market, how to get to the right place in the bath house and how to hurl insults at your worst enemy. We will also look at some fascinating connections between Latin and English, and explore some journeys which our language has taken over 2000 years. Miss F Cooke
The Art of Protest Explore how artists through time have used their work to communicate to others about a cause they believe in. Have a go at making your own protest art for an issue you feel passionately about. Miss R Northcott Squiggles or Digits? Investigate how number systems vary all over the world.
