Fellow Beef Producers; We invite you to join us at the 7N Ranch sale barn or on the internet at DVAuction.com for our 45th Annual Production Sale, Tuesday, May 7, 2024. Sale time is 4:30 PM CDT. The lunch and refreshment crew will be on hand from noon on, so come early and review this year’s select offering. All sale animals have been video taped and can be viewed on DVAuction.com. We again take great pride in the overall beef cattle qualities and usefulness this offering represents. Most of the primary sires used are selected from within our own program. We feel to better evaluate our females and pass on to you, our customer, only the very best growth traits, we let the cow raise the calf and do not utilize creep feed. The bull calves were weaned October 21st. Weights were taken and booster shots given. After a 5 or 6 day ration of grass or oat hay they were gradually transitioned to bunk feeding of a total mixed ration of corn silage, chopped alfalfa hay and DDG. We focus on growth gain of 3.3 to 3.5 lbs. per day. This is achieved with a 13-14% protein diet. All bulls were semen tested April 15th and checked for breeding soundness by Dr. Troy Dutton, DVM from The Steele Veterinary Clinic. The heifer calves were weaned in early November. Weighed and boosted. They were wintered on a mixed ration of corn silage and ground alfalfa and oat hay. The heifers were bangs vaccinated and vet-checked for breeding in mid December. Heifers are guaranteed open. A lot has changed in the beef cattle industry through the years.... from genetics to marketing to type and frame. BULL BUYER APPRECIATION HEIFER DRAWING Bull buyers will have a chance to win a high quality Simmental/Red Angus open heifer in a ticket drawing following the bull sale. How it works: On each bull sold, a ticket will be issued on a $3,000.00 bid and another ticket on each additional $500.00 bid. Example: A final bid of $5,000.00 = 5 tickets to that buyer. OFFERING 45 HEAD OF SM/AR CROSS COMMERCIAL HEIFERS Heifers will be sold in groups of 5. All heifers are Bangs vaccinated and guaranteed open. Data sheet will be provided day of sale and posted on DVAuction. Heifers will need to be delivered or picked up in a timely manner in the days following the sale. Free delivery 150 mile radius.
WARRANTY 7N Ranch 1st Breeding Season Warranty 1. 150 days – terminates September 1, 2024. 2. Covers mortality or slaughter as directed by veterinarian, including broken penis. 3. Does not cover foot rot or other management disabilities. 7N Ranch will allow credit for determined loss (after salvage value) at next year’s sale. 7N Ranch may offer current year replacement of loss if equal value is available.

Ever since I was a young boy, I knew what I wanted to be. ‘Cause I’d sit and watch the westerns, bouncing on my daddy’s knee. He taught me how to rope, and taught me how to ride. “Said a real workin’ cowboy holds his head up high.” I’m not a Rodeo Cowboy, and that ain’t just by chance. Gimme a home-cooked meal, and a job on any ranch. ‘Cause I don’t ride the bulls, and I don’t ride bareback broncs. Me and my old cow horse, will take on any job.
I don’t need all the attention, or the cheering of the fans. You keep me in my saddle, and I’ll keep ridin’ for the brand. And I’ll raise my kids and family, in this lifestyle I love. And I’ll grow tired and old and happy, with a little bit of help from Above. I’m not a Rodeo Cowboy, and that ain’t just by chance.
