SafetyReboot returns F ollowing a great reception in its inaugural year, the CEF health and safety initiative, Safety Reboot, returns for a second year in January 2022. The month-long programme aims to encourage construction companies to stop work for about 15 minutes, once a week throughout January to take time to focus on key areas of health and safety. The CEF health and safety committee has provided resources to enable all in the Northern Ireland construction industry to get involved.
Question packs can be used to stimulate discussion on the chosen topic and a helpful discussion aid is available for each subject to reassure the member of staff facilitating the discussion. Topics from last year remain available with new resources on asbestos, underground services and respirable crystalline silica. Resources will be available on the CEF website www.cefni.co.uk. Safety Reboot is a wonderful opportunity for Northern ireland construction firms to show off the effort they put into health and safety on a daily basis to keep their sites and staff safe. Social media posts highlighting your involvement should be shared through the hashtag #safetyreboot.
