BERNARD ROONEY CENG BENG (HONS) MIET Bernard joined the Electrical and Mechanical Engineering team in 2016. He was promoted to Associate Electrical Engineer in 2021. Bernard promotes sustainable development within the practice, providing its clients with cost-effective and energy-efficient building services solutions. With a passion for all things electronic, particularly the Internet of Things (IoT), automation, and control, he incorporates innovative technology into projects, where applicable. PAULINE RODNEY Pauline joined Beattie Flanigan in March 1997 as an office administrator carrying out various roles which included answering telephone enquiries, general administration duties and preparing documents for tendering purposes. In 2015 she was promoted to Office Manager. Pauline’s role includes looking after HR, payroll and the company’s ISO Integrated Management System, which includes: BS EN ISO 9001, BS EN ISO 14001 and BS ISO 45001.

Jason joined Beattie Flanigan in 1991 as an Electrical Engineer and was promoted to Electrical Partner in 2003 after completing an MSc in Engineering Management at the University of Bristol. He became Managing Director of the practice in 2015. As the lead Building Services Project Director/Engineer, Jason is responsible for the overall design and co-ordination of all the Building Services Engineering projects delivered by the practice on a day-to-day basis. In his spare time he enjoys keeping fit by running - mostly with his crazy dog Eddie – cycling, hill walking and escaping to his retreat in France as often as he can. CATHERINE MCCARTAN CENG BENG (HONS) MCIBSE Catherine joined Beattie Flanigan in 2017 as a Senior Mechanical Engineer and was subsequently promoted to Associate Mechanical Engineer. In this role, she has been involved in a wide variety of projects in the healthcare, education and residential sectors. Catherine mentors younger members of staff and assists on their career path progression. She regularly attends secondary schools to speak to students completing maths and science A-Levels to encourage them to consider building

Along with graduates, we’ve taken on people from many other walks of life. But, if any member of staff wants to be an engineer, and they’re enthusiastic, we’ll train them up, give them the experience, and support them through college or university to get them to where they want to be.”
