Fosroc celebrates 50years in Ireland
A s a global manufacturer of high- performance chemicals, Fosroc supplies a broad range of specialist building products, with a focus on concrete and cement. As sales flourished in Ireland during the 70s, Fosroc’s Irish-based sales force was established. While it would be possible to service Ireland by flying sales representatives over from the UK, the importance of location-specific knowledge, and high availability for site inspections was recognised to ensure clients received the highest standard of service in terms of technical product expertise, training and supply turnaround. This localised approach proved to be much more beneficial for clients. Fosroc has been involved in many successful projects in Ireland over the years, with products used for industrial,
public and commercial constructions, major transportation and utilities infrastructure. Examples of recent build projects in Ireland where Fosroc products were used include, Dublin Airport, Dublin Tram System, Lansdown Road Stadium, Downpatrick Racecourse (Resin Floors), Ballymena Housing Authority, Stormont Wharf & Hawlbowline Jetty (Dry Spray Concrete) Ardnacrusha Dam and Parteen Weir in County Tipperary. Fosroc still works closely with its Irish distributor network, including key partners Anchor Bay Construction Accessories, MacNaughton Blair, Murdock Civils and Total Pipeline Specialists. Products are regularly shipped every week from the UK mainland to keep stocks ready and available, and investment in R&D continues to set Fosroc products apart from competitors, both in Ireland and in the wider global market.
