BASEBALL IS BACK THE TIMELESS TRADITION THAT CONNECTS GENERATIONS
Baseball, America’s favorite pastime, is back in full swing, igniting the passion and excitement of fans across the country. For many, including myself, baseball is more than just a sport — it's a cherished part of our upbringing, a source of fond memories, and a symbol of community and camaraderie. Growing up in Orange County, California, I was introduced to the magic of baseball at a young age, and the Los Angeles Angels were my team. My aunt's season tickets provided me with the opportunity to attend games regularly, creating unforgettable experiences that have stayed with me to this day. One particular memory stands out vividly: I was about 6 years old, and the Angels were losing about 12–5 in the 9th inning. They ended up winning after an amazing comeback, sparked by a Dick Schofield grand slam. The exhilaration of witnessing such a remarkable turnaround sparked a lifelong love affair with the game — I remember going absolutely bananas in the stands!
Area and found myself amidst rival Giants fans, the camaraderie of the ballpark transcended team allegiances. Witnessing the Angels clinch the World Series against the Giants while living in San Francisco, remains a highlight of my baseball fandom. The shared excitement of those games displayed the unifying power of sports, no matter who you cheer for. I feel that baseball holds a special place in American culture — the sport evokes a sense of nostalgia and tradition that resonates deeply with fans of all ages. While some may perceive it as a slow-moving sport, I see beauty in its unhurried pace — a chance to savor the moments, engage in conversation between pitches, and anticipate the next exhilarating play. Baseball's rhythm reminds us to slow down, appreciate the simple joys of life, and forge connections with those around us. In a busy and quickly changing world, baseball serves as a timeless reminder of our shared heritage and values. It brings communities together and transcends differences. As the crack of the bat echoes through stadiums once again this month, let us celebrate the return of baseball and the cherished memories, camaraderie, and joy it brings into our lives!
Baseball's rhythm reminds us to slow down, appreciate the simple joys of life, and forge connections with those around us.
As a kid, I not only cheered from the seats, but I played. Taking part in this great sport taught me valuable lessons in teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship. Moreover, it served as a unique educational tool, as I honed my math skills by keeping score and compiling box scores during games. Collecting baseball cards further fueled my passion and allowed me to connect with players and teams beyond the games I watched on TV.
Some of my most cherished memories revolve around attending Angels games with family and friends. Even when I moved to the Bay

YOUR 4-WEEK SPRING-CLEANING CALENDAR
Spring-cleaning can be overwhelming. From the kitchen counter to the ceiling fan, there’s a lot of ground to cover. But there’s a trick to make it easier: Breaking down the work into quick, doable tasks spread over four weeks. Week 1: The Living Room The start of every journey begins with a single step, and that step is acquiring and prepping supplies. Wash out buckets, empty vacuum bags, throw microfiber cloths in the wash, clean mops, and shake out brooms. Next, it’s time to clean the light fixtures. Use a microfiber cloth to wipe away dust and debris. Then dunk the cloth in soapy water, wring it out, and scrub the light fixture covering the bulb until it shines — just make sure you turn the lights off first. Once you’ve finished the lights, head to the bookshelves.
Dust the tops and wipe down the sides. Make sure to wipe down any pictures or framed art on the wall. Lastly, move the furniture and vacuum underneath. Week 2: The Kitchen Clean the dishwasher filter first. Devote the next two days to getting the stove to sparkle, including ridding the vent of grease. Wipe down the countertops and the cabinets. Clean out the microwave and wipe down any other countertop appliances. Congratulations, week two is over! Week 3: The Bathroom Begin by removing the grime from the showerhead and sanitizing the curtain. The curtain can be scrubbed and air-dried in the sun. Then clean and sanitize the shower and sink. Shine the fixtures.
For the toilets, get under the rim with a toilet brush and give the much-ignored back some love, too. Now that the toilet’s shining, it is the perfect opportunity to get the floor. Take a little extra time to get the baseboards. Week 4: The Bedroom Clean the bedrooms from top to bottom. Now is a good time to wash your pillows and air-dry them. Bedroom ceiling fans can build up a lot of gunk over the winter. An easy way to clean them is by pulling a pillowcase around the blades and pulling them back. Next, polish any wood furniture. Thoroughly clean the windows with glass cleaner or a homemade mixture of vinegar and water, and remember to clean the window tracks. Lastly, test the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
OUR CLIENTS SAY IT BEST “My family is very pleased with the outcome reached by Case Barnett in our suit against a national hospital organization. Case was
very sympathetic, and he and his team worked so hard through every appeal and stalling tactic the defendant threw at us. I would recommend Case to anyone who has grounds for bringing a civil suit.”

ESCAPE APRIL SHOWERS THIS SPRING 3 Vacations Spots to Avoid Seasonal Gloom
April showers bring May flowers, but you don’t have to stick around to wait for them to bloom. Escape to these three destinations and enjoy the new life of spring without the rain.
Amsterdam, Holland, Netherlands Why wait for May to see spring flowers? All April long, Holland sports the most beautiful colors in the world, and people from all over the globe go enjoy the Keukenhof Garden Festival. This festival has occurred for 75 years, and as it’s only 30 minutes away from Amsterdam proper, you can experience the best of both worlds. Explore the thousands of tulips during the day and then spend time in the city, exploring the beautiful canals and shopping districts in the evening. Don’t worry if you miss the beautiful flowers; most of the city’s museums and hotels have tulips, too. Seville, Spain Embark on an enchanting journey to Seville, where vibrant culture and passion come
alive. Picture yourself strolling through cobblestone streets where you can immerse yourself in the parades that travel through the city during Holy Week. Brass bands build up to a beautiful celebration on Easter, and just two weeks later, the Feria de Abril begins. This fiesta is full of lively parties, even more music, and colorful costumes. Sevillanos on horseback and the clacking footwork of flamenco dancers are captivating to watch, so don’t miss out by getting rained in. Malta Located to the south of mainland Europe in the Mediterranean Sea, Malta is part of an archipelago consisting of several islands, including Gozo and Comino. Because of its
diverse cultures, you’ll hear Arab accents in the language as you pass Baroque architecture. Nature lovers, hikers, and landscape photographers alike can explore the rocky coastlines, impressive rock formations, and dazzling sea caves, such as the Blue Grotto (Malta), plus beautiful beaches like Ramia Bay (Gozo) and Ghajn Tuffieha Bay (Malta). However, the biggest advantage of traveling in Malta is that everything is in full bloom: green fields, blooming citrus trees, and beautiful flowers. If you go in spring, you’ll beat the tourists, too, as summer is peak season.
