A giant garage sale will be held on May 11 to raise funds for the upcoming Ar- thritis and Prostate CancerWalk. The sale will be held at 1091 Concession Street (across from arena) in Russell. Above, volunteers Michel Richer Laflêche, Sylvie Morin, Michelle Lemieux and Nick Lorion have just finished loading up the leftover items from the Horticultural Society’s swap meet on March 23.

Grâce au Programme d’investissement dans le logement abordable de l’Ontario Rénovations Ontario Votre maison nécessite des réparations d’urgence mais vous n’avez pas les fonds pour réaliser ce projet? Des fondsontétéengagésdans lecadreduPILAOafind’aider lesménagesà faible revenu ou modérés de toutes les régions de la province à faire des rénovations d’urgence. Le volet Rénovations Ontario du PILAO donne l’opportunité à un prêt-subvention pour permettre aux ménages à faible revenu ou modérés d’exécuter des rénovations d’urgence. Les demandeurs doivent être âgés d’au moins 18 ans et doivent être propriétaire de la demeure, leur seule et unique résidence dans Prescott et Russell. Le revenu annuel familialnedoitpasdépasser50,000$et lavaleurde lapropriété inférieure à 150,000 $. Les Comtés unis de Prescott et Russell participent au Programme d’investissement dans le logement abordable de l’Ontario (PILAO).

The United Counties of Prescott and Russell participate in the Investment in Affordable Housing for Ontario (IAH).
Funds from the IAH program have been committed to help households with low or moderate income throughout the province to make emergency renovations.
The Ontario Renovates component of the IAH gives the opportunity of funding through a forgivable loan for low or moderate income households to perform emergency repairs which would not be possible due to their financial situation. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and must own a home that is their sole and primary residence in Prescott and Russell.The combined family income must notexceed themaximumeligible incomeof$50,000and thevalueof theproperty must be less than $150,000.
