Trex Signature®, Trex Transcend®, Trex Transcend® Lineage®, Trex Select® and Trex Enhance® Decking Live Load Ratings Trex® decking products have been evaluated by a 3rd-party test lab for two live load ratings: per ASTM D7032 Standard Specification for Establishing Performance Ratings for Wood-Plastic Composite and Plastic Lumber Deck Boards, Stair Treads, Guards and Handrails. The IBC International Building Code and IRC International Residential Code require a 40 psf rating for most walking surface installations. Some commercial installations will require a 100 psf rating or more. It is recom- mended you consult your local building official regarding the requirements in your area. Below are the on- center span requirements to meet the desired rating. For a stiffer installation, a 16" on-center span is recom- mended for the decking surface.
