The GARN Wood Heating System (WHS) is a wood boiler that combines full heat storage with a patented wood- gasifier combustion design in a single piece of equipment. This unique combination of technologies means wood burns so hot and efficient that a GARN squeezes virtually all available heat out of each cord of wood while eliminating smoke and creosote. When you purchase a GARN, you’ll own the highest-efficiency, lowest-emissions wood boiler available. Our wood boiler models range in output from 160,000 BTUH to 700,000 BTUH and can be used individually or in tandem to serve rural commercial, industrial, farm, greenhouse, shop and multifamily residential heating applications. GARN® WHS units are UL and CSA certified for use in the US & Canada; and have been emissions certified by an independent lab.

 A Perfect fit for Commercial or Large Residential The WHS-2000 is our bread and butter unit, and makes up about 85% of the GARN wood boilers in existence. It is slightly larger than the WHS-1500 and also more efficient due to extra heat exchanger tubing. The boiler is designed for heating up to 10,000 sq ft and can easily be installed in an existing building or lean-to addition. It is popular to install multiple WHS-2000’s together when serving larger commercial heating loads up to 40,000 sq ft. Durable Construction   The tank is rolled and is 10 ft long; the entire unit is just under 11 ft long. As with all of the GARN wood boilers, the 2000 is built with pride by American workers and has a minimum steel wall thickness of 3/16 ″ with 1/4 ″ heads. The large, Schedule 40, 4 inch diameter heat transfer tubes never plug and transfer heat efficiently to the water. The manway ring can be ordered with a fitting for use with a solar thermal drainback system, perfect for storing heat from the sun! Electric Heating Available 9 electric elements at 5.5 kW each (49.5 kW / 169,000 btu/hr total power input) can be installed to take advantage of off- peak heating through your local coop or utility.
