SPRING 2018 works

HAPPY EASTER! Spring has arrived, and He is Risen! It is a glorious time of year. We are reminded of fresh starts, brighter moments, and the hopeful transformation of Christ. At Catholic Charities, we are spending our time on the Gospel path to give the most vulnerable members of our community a fresh start on their journey to self-sufficiency. Our programs shine a bright light of compassion and love on people living through their darkest moments. Our mission gives life-changing transformation to those struggling to rebuild their lives. As this season of warmth and new life transforms the landscape from the barren brown of winter to the lush green of spring, we reflect on the ways that Catholic Charities works with you, our supporters, to transform the landscape for individuals and families living in great need. We reflect on how our newest housing communities - five opened in three cities in two years - are literal transformations in neighborhoods; beautiful new apartment complexes offering the dignity of shelter to the formerly homeless. On May 18th we invite you to our 10th annual Gala to celebrate how “Together We Are Changing the Landscape.” The ballroom of the Davenport Grand will fill with 1000 friends of Catholic Charities to celebrate and support transformation – a beautiful testament to the generous and compassionate hearts at work all around us. It is always a special evening filled with fun and the presentation of The Bishop’s Medal. We hope to see you there. May the Easter season fill your heart with joy – thank you for being part of team Catholic Charities! Many prayers, And we reflect on the blessing of you! Your prayers, gifts, volunteerism, and advocacy for the mission of Catholic Charities fuel all this transformation. Together we answer God’s call to serve one another – to serve our brothers and sisters in need – to serve our community of Eastern Washington. We reflect on how our programs are transforming lives every day, bringing strength to families and children in need through parent support, in-home services, counseling, food security, and emergency assistance.
