Types of work The firm provides a wide range of specialist legal services and its client base includes PLCs, public sector bodies, banks, other commercial, corporate and professional businesses and high-net-worth individuals Brabners’ legal teams are made up of sector specialists. This ensures clients are given legal advice in the context of the commercial environment their businesses operate in. The firm has specialists in a number of core sectors including real estate, business services, healthcare, media, technology, retail, sport and charity. Who should apply Graduates and those undertaking the GDL or LPC, who can demonstrate intelligence, intuition, humour, approachability and commitment. Training programme Brabners is one of the few law firms that holds Investor in People status and has a comprehensive training and development programme, which is one of the highest ranked in the student law firm guide The Lex 100 . Trainees are given a high degree of responsibility and are an integral part of the culture of the firm. Each trainee will have partner-level supervision and personal development appraisals are conducted at three and six-monthly intervals to ensure that progress is as fast and seamless as possible. The training programme is overseen by the firm’s training principal, Dr Tony Harvey. Tony is a solicitor, holds a master’s degree and doctorate in ethics and law and is also the firm’s head of risk and compliance and oversees the firm’s ethical guidance. He said: “Our trainee programme is a fundamental part of the firm’s long-term plan for sustainable growth.
