Those of us in the newly created Office of the CEO see the change in leadership at Cook & Boardman as an opportunity to take a fresh look at our company performance. While we are pleased that our revenues are on pace for a record year, we still have an ambitious set of strategic objectives before us that require additional effort on all of our parts, especially when it comes to combining our diverse lines of products to cross-SERVE our customers. Success in selling comprehensive solutions across branches will take the kind of teamwork for which our company is well known, with people working across product specialties, geographies, areas of expertise, and divisional organizations. Fortunately, we have an employee-centric culture that encourages working together at every level of the company. From small retrofits to large national accounts, central purchasing to credit, restocking to risk management – everything we do is driven by teamwork. When we live by our core values and SERVE, we Serve our associates, customers, and communities. We Educate and Elevate our associates through training and development programs. And we show Respect for all while working towards a shared Vision that leverages our Expertise to make C&B the best it can be!
These values never change, and we regard them as a core strength of Cook & Boardman. We know the only way we all succeed is when we each succeed, which is why we continue to focus on your growth and professional development. You are what makes our company a great place to work, and we will never lose sight of that. We’ll keep you updated as we review the strategic priorities for our team and how we’re performing against them. We have certainly grown bigger over the past several years, and we will continue to focus on growth; however, let’s also seize every opportunity to be better than we have been before.
