Kegler says he learned a lot in his time as an assistant, particularly about the collegiate basketball system and what it takes to be successful. More than a week after the announcement was made, Bill Kegler still has trouble believing it. “It’s kind of surreal, it hasn't necessarily hit me yet,” Kegler says. The announcement, that Kegler would be taking over as the new head men’s basketball coach at Madison College, represents the culmination of years of work, but also the start of a new challenge. “It’s exciting, I’m really looking forward to the opportunity that we have here,” Kegler says.
