Gift of giving Interscholastic Licensing Company works with schools, churches and nonprots to provide a platform to sell branded products to the public. They create online shops where merchandise can be ordered, personalized and shipped straight to the customer. In the public school market, the customer is usually a local high school student or their parent. “We take the pressure off the schools. We handle the process while the schools capitalize on the sales,” Brent says. With a background in publishing, he understands that sales is key in any industry. He’s worked with companies to break into new markets, connect with consumers and grow sales. Now he hopes to do the same for schools. The driving force behind all of Ron Brent’s work is his personal faith and a belief in the power of giving. “Being able to give is a gift,” he shares. “As a Christian, that’s important to me. I think you have to keep giving to people. I try to do that. I don’t cheat them. I don’t do wrong. I keep giving.”
