A firm pillow is recommended for wider shoulder and larger framed people while a soft pillow is suitable for small framed people and narrow shoulders
While sleeping on the back, the cervical spine must be able to retain its natural S form.
The width of the pillow should correspond to the minimum width of the shoulders.
When sleeping on the side, the neck and spine should remain perfectly straight.
The spine and neck always needs to be well supported. Different support from the pillow is required for people who sleep on their back or on their sides
A softer flat pillow will be best suited to the soft mattress, while a firm pillow be will best suited to a firm mattress.
