H ell -B ent The American Atheists report a recent branch in a California high school, “ The Hedonic Host of Hell-bent Heathens.” This branch had, at last report, thirty-five members out o f 300 students, and with systematic prose lyting hopes to have one hundred by the end of the school year. — o — P aul A R obber An Atheist tract quotes 2 Cor. 11 :8 as proof that the Apostle Paul “ fobbed churches.” This verse merely states that Paul took wages of certain churches in order to spare the church at Corinth, which was ill able to afford his expenses. The Philippian Church, which was much stronger, was better able to support him (Phil. 4:15-16). The word rendered “ robbed” is not on e;which means to “ plunder.” This is another fine sample o f the limits to which these men will go in order to prejudice young minds against the Bible. P opinjays Holland’s Magazine takes a stroke at the 4A ’s in its editorial columns.’ Referring to the threats ¿.of what these Atheists propose to do, the editor says: “ It is a most ridiculous, inane- pointless,'idea, from beginning to end. The only remarkable feature-of it is that men of supposed sanity could for one instant consider themselves possessed of enough power to affect the work — o —

o f the Bible. "'It is the most stupid undertaking of the century. Any hotel that would destroy copies of the Bible, or allow slurring and obscene literature to be inserted in its leaves, as proposed by the atheists, would invoke ostra cism by decent people the world over, whether Christians or not. And if an institution dependent on the good will o f the public for its success were to be so utterly foolish, the Bibles would be promptly replaced by the Gideons. The Bible has withstood twenty centuries o f opposition. It will not be shaken now by a group o f atheistic popinjays, with a handful of money and no conception o f the mag nitude of the force they are attacking.” ' — o— ' F ruitage A seventeen-year-old youth, born in Russia but an American citizen through the naturalization o f his father, was inoculated with the Bolshevist gospel of class hatred and.anti-Americanism. He.wrote an obscene, satiric poem on America. The Daily Worker printed the poem, as it prints everything else that . seeks to vilify and traduce America. The assistant editor, the business manager o f this New York Communist- organ, and the youthful author o f the poem, were convicted for publishing ob scene language, the newspapermen receiving workhouse sentences and young Gordan being sentenced to the New York Reformatory. The New York State Court o f Ap peals has just affirmed the conviction. Gordan, a student o f the University of Wisconsin, will be incarcerated in the reformatory until he is twenty-one years old. Here is a startling example o f the fruitage o f atheism.'

When you pray for the world, do you ever remem ber The Cliff Dwellers of Spain? Their caves abound in the mountainous districts.
