June 15th from 7:45 to 5:00. For those unfamiliar with the sport, dragon boating is a boat of 20 paddlers, a drummer and steer person. Teams will represent local WNY corporations, breast cancer survivors, police forces, firefighters, and other community organizations. Hope Chest was formed to provide a positive support group for Breast Cancer Survivors. Their purpose is to inspire Breast Cancer patients and survivors to lead active and fulfilling lives through physical fitness programs, which can include becoming a part of a paddling team. These programs also promote emotional healing. Survivors of all ages and fitness levels are invited to participate.
