Dr.KeithE.Evans (3rd from left)andAtlantaHumanPerformanceStaff Out of caution, we are suspending the Fitness Extravaganza due to the public health risks related to the Coronavirus. CORONAVIRUS PROTECTION By now, you have heard of the Coronavirus, but what is it? COVID-19 is a new strain of coronavirus. It’s a part of the same family of coronaviruses that includes the common cold. It is a type of virus that causes respiratory illness – an infection of the airways and lungs. Because it is a new virus, scientists all over the globe are racing to learn more about it but more importantly, because it is new and there is no cure, it could lead to death. As your healthcare professional, we are closely monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak via the Centers for Disease Control (DC), Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) and the World Health Organization (WHO). The virus and protocols are changing quickly, but we are working to mitigate any impact on our providers, staff, and patients. We ask all patients and their guests who have a fever, symptoms of a respiratory infection, or have been exposed to a person with Coronavirus, flu, or other communicable disease to reschedule their appointments. We will not penalize you and will work with you to reschedule your visit as quickly as possible. Here are a few ways to protect yourself from the Coronavirus as well as many other communicable diseases.
HAS YOUR PAIN COME BACK?

Feel free to call us and ask to speak to your therapist.
Your therapist can discuss with you why your pain is bothering you again and what you might do about it at home. If further assessment is warranted, your therapist might recommend you come in for an appointment.
PAT I ENT SUCCESS SPOTL IGHT ! “I am happy to have my old self back!” “When I first started at Atlanta Human Performance Center I was in a lot of pain and could not move. • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Especially after going to the bathroom, before eating, andafterblowingyournose, coughing, orsneezing. • If soap and water aren’t available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
• Stay home when sick. This includes staying home from work, school, errands, and travel for at least 24 hours after a fever is gone. • Cover a cough or sneeze with a tissue, throw the tissue in the trash and wash your hands. Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces like phones, keyboards, and doorknobs. Get plenty of sleep, be physically active, drink lots of fluids, and eat nutritious food. Again, the best way to prevent the spread of communicable disease is cleanliness and hand washing. In addition to the Coronavirus, influenza activity in the US is a major concern and is more likely to cause serious illness versus the Coronavirus. If you have yet to receive a flu shot, it is not too late and is still being recommended by the CDC.
