A Room Filled With Precious Moments

My name is Lisa. I live in New York state with my loving husband of 25 years and our 4 wonderful children.My Precious Moments journey began when I was about 9 years old. My mom bought me my first Precious Moments Bible and a Friendship Hits The Spot nightlight. I still remember lying in bed as a little girl looking at all the beautiful pictures in my Bible. At that time, I didn't know very much about Precious Moments, but as I got older, I started to see them more and more and that is when my love for Precious Moments began. By the time I met my husband, I had about 100 Precious Moments items and from there, my collection grew exponentially. My husband has seen my true passion for the figurines, so we made a pact that it was going to be a journey we were going to do together. This past July, my husband and I purchased our first home and my husband said that the number one thing on the list when we looked for a house was one big enough to display my collection. He knew that it was very painful for me to have to keep them in boxes all the time and not be able to enjoy them. So the house we picked was big enough for me to have a huge space to finally display them. He is my biggest supporter and I love him for understanding what is an important part of my life. We even got our children involved with collecting so we had something fun that we could do together. Every time we go to the Chapel my kids are so excited to go, especially my 15-year-old son who is battling stage 4 kidney and bladder disease. He always tells me he finds great comfort and peace when he goes, which means so much to me. I find the same comfort and peace when I look at each figurine. I now have over 5,000 Precious Moments items including figurines, dolls, plates, crosses, and more. This passion I have for Precious Moments will be with me for the rest of my life. It is very important to me to show others what Precious Moments is about and what love they can bring to anyone who seeks it.
