CREATIVE ENTERPRISE UAL Level 4 Professional Diploma Venue: South Downs Campus Duration: 1 year (full time) Cost: £4,670 (free if under 19 years old)

Structure – Unit 1: The Creative Entrepreneur – Unit 2: The Creative Practitioner – Unit 3: The Creative Enterprise Units 1 and 2 will be Pass only. The overall qualification is graded on Unit 3 and is graded at Pass, Merit or Distinction. The course will provide you with the skills and information to launch yourself as an artist or professional creative. It will develop your project management skills and cover copyright laws, basic accounting and budgeting, creating pitch proposals, marketing, social media advertising, branding and much more. You can develop your knowledge in your chosen field, be it graphic illustratration, screen printing, jewellery-making, traditional printing, clothing, book illustration and any other creative medium supported within our facilities. Successful completion of the course will equip you to join art markets and approach retailers to sell your products. The course ends with a festival-style ‘pop-up’ market, providing a showcase of your best work to the industry, friends and family. Teaching & Learning You will attend approximately 12 hours of studio time, workshops, lectures and tutorials each week over a period of 30 weeks. The course will be taught with an approach that delivers a balance between practical skills development and acquired knowledge.

The course will be very focussed on industry skills and connections. The classroom will be your studio first, classroom second, working with motivated and creative students trying to make an industry impact. All the creative lecturers have industry experience.
