Structure You will study the following units: Year One (HNC): – Engineering Design – Engineering Science – Engineering Mathematics – Managing a Professional Engineering Project Plus, a combination of four more units from: – Automation, Robotics and PLC – Fundamentals of Thermodynamics and Heat Engines – Electrical Machines – Quality and Process Improvement – Production Engineering for Manufacture – Electrical & Electronic Principles – Mechanical Principles Year Two (HND): – Research Project – Professional Engineering Management

Overview Our courses include the use of modern industry-standard software and equipment, use of analysis tools, CAD, electronic testing, material testing and automation. Plus, a combination of three more units from: – Virtual Engineering – Advanced Manufacturing Technology – Industrial Systems – Industrial Power, Electronics and Storage – Advanced Mechanical Principles This level of study requires additional hours allocated each week outside of college for research and writing reports. You will be required to attend college for two days a week. On successful completion of the Year One HNC, students can progress on to the Year Two HND Engineering.
