Assessment – HNC/ HND - Assessment is made through completion of assignment-based activities, reports, coursework, practical work, independent study and research. Each unit is marked at Pass, Merit or Distinction grade and these will be used to calculate the final overall grade for the qualification. All assessment procedures are subject to scrutiny by an external examiner appointed by the awarding body. Progression On completion of this course, you can progress on to a top-up degree at university or degree Apprenticeship. Career destinations have included Design Engineers, Electrical or Electronic Engineers, Production Engineers and Mechanical Engineers.
Operations Engineering (Automotive Bias) Pathway HNC: – Engineering Design – Engineering Maths – Engineering Science – Managing a Professional Engineering Project (Pearson-set) You can choose to study the two-year pathway. The first year will run alongside our generic engineering units, and the second year will run a selection of optional units depending on the route you wish to take.
