HSDC Higher Education Prospectus 23/24

UAL COURSES

University of the Arts London (UAL) is the leading provider for creative and performing arts courses and a specialist for the creative industry. All of our Creative Arts courses are accredited by the UAL Awarding Body, and through our various partnerships can qualify as the first year of a Bachelor’s degree.

These courses are free to students under 19 years old, or you can apply for an adult learner loan.

Through our progression agreements, suitably qualified HSDC students are able to progress to designated university undergraduate degree programmes, and the qualifications they have earned at HSDC will count toward their Bachelor’s degree requirements. See page 7 for more further details.

UNIVERSITY-AFFILIATED COURSES

At HSDC we have a number of partnerships with educational institutions to provide you with the best Higher Education experience and further your employability.

A number of our Higher Education courses are affiliated through local university partners. These partnerships give you the best of both worlds. With our university-affiliated courses you’ll have access to university facilities as well as those at HSDC.

For some of our courses, you can also stay in halls if you wish.

SOUTH COAST INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY COURSES

From 2023, HSDC will be part of the brand new South Coast Institute of Technology (South Coast IoT), working as a collaboration between five Further Education colleges and two universities.

Read more about the programme and how we are investing in our facilities and courses on page 37.
