• As a member of NSBE it has proven to be an essential tool for my development as a professional and as a black engineer. I also love the mission statement and it allows NSBE members to carry themselves in a respectable manner and to never forget why we exist. • It’s a great organization that supports the advancement of black engineers. • NSBE has done so much for me and I want to help other people the same way NSBE has helped and continue to help me. • It’s a great community that will be able to let one grow into a successful Engineer • I was new at my school and didn’t have many friends. After attending FRC, I knew so many more people with a variety of backgrounds that had STEM majors. These people have been essential to my academic success over this first year at a new school. • NSBE served me well as a student and professional. • Good opportunities for professional development as a student • It has been a big part of my life. • NSBE is a very resourceful organization that supports professional African Americans. • I am a NSBE life member, and there is a reason. NSBE has aided in my professional development as it has done for many other black engineers. That is not just because of the workshops, conventions and conferences I attended as a member, but also the opportunity to hone my leadership skills through defined leadership positions within the organization. As a father of a young daughter (aspiring Mechanical Engineer), I know NSBE will afford her the opportunities to develop her skill and leadership abilities as it did for me.
• The organization has become my on-campus home for all homework, studying, and family atmosphere. NSBE has helped me develop myself into greater professional, student, and person and there isn’t anyone I wouldn’t recommend joining and becoming involved. • NSBE has been a significant part of personal and professional development. • NSBE is an opportunity for anyone to further themselves. • All the opportunities • Personal and professional benefits and outreach opportunities. • NSBE has done so much for me and I love seeing it do the same for others as too. • NSBE was very instrumental to my development as an engineering student in college. Amid the rigor of the engineering program, it was empowering to engage with and be encouraged by like-minded Black engineers. • NSBE has provided a solid foundation for me as a college student. • NSBE was a driving force in getting me interested in and actually helping me to pursue a STEM field in college. The chapter at my college and all of the experience I gained through NSBE leadership helped me to become more confident in who I am as a black female professional in career fields where neither of those identities are particularly well represented. I am ecstatic to recommend such an organization to other people. • NSBE has helped me so much with every aspect of my life • My experience with NSBE as a college student plus my current experience as a chapter advisor for a NSBE Jr chapter...I see how beneficial the organization is for college and middle/high school students. I want everyone to have access to the same benefits that NSBE offers to it’s members.
