• As a NSBE Professional I kind of expect more from the professional level. I know NSBE is a student run organization but once you enter into the Professional world, more focus should be on Professional activities. There are members of NSBE Professionals who are in the 40s. If all the events are geared towards the youth, how do you expect to keep the interest of someone who is older. This what separates some of the other engineering organizations from NSBE. Someone who is in the 40s or 50s has a wealth of knowledge that should be shared across NSBE professional. • The emphasis is more on collegiate and pre collegiate instead of professional/young professionals. Nsbe will always have students but need to do a better job catering to the professionals. Many of us are members of other organizations that are keen to professional needs. The collegiate don’t know what is best for professionals because they never walked on those shoes.

• I think NSBE has a great Value for NSBE Jr and Collegiate members where there are active chapters. However, after graduation, there are very few national programs that benefit members directly. Also, professional chapters operate autonomy and had little ROI for members. Unless you have a history in NSBE leadership, NSBE after college is not very attractive. • “Have not seen the direct metrics showing the trend, over time, of NSBE impact in the community as it relates to matriculating engineers in the workforce or promoted to the C suite. I don’t see consistent involvement at the local level city to city or region to region. NSBE looks different based on where you live. More standardization of certain items is necessary to track impact. Other than that, I do appreciate the Networking opportunities afforded by being a member. I appreciate the opportunity to volunteer and share my own resources. As a NSBE Professional, it doesn’t seem we are afforded the same type of stature or consideration at the national level, outside of the Professionals demographic. “
