Percy & Jacqueline
I ʼm an Englishwoman living in France since 2006. Percy is my second Fox Terrier. I took him to the club (Les Vallées in Montignac, Charente) just to socialize him with other dogs. For fun, we let him try the tunnels and a few jumps. It was great fun, and Percy loves our trainer. So, when he turned six months old, we started agility. He loved it ! We then passed the Pass Agility, which confirms that a dog is ready to start competing... itʼs the green light for competitions. And so we began ! There are very few Fox Terriers in competition, and the early days were tough : he didnʼt listen much, was overexcited, and would run off to the other end of the field. But we kept going and continued practicing the courses. Today, heʼs six years old, his runs are very good, and weʼve gained consistency. He has just been selected for the Grand Prix de France, making him the number one Fox Terrier in agility in France ! Itʼs become addictive — it keeps me fit and we meet lots of people. At home, heʼs a wonderful companion, never leaves my side, and goes everywhere with me. When he retires, weʼll go travelling together ! Jacqueline and Percy Vom Jaegerhohle
