You cannot win by relying on a few; you need everyone. At the House Dinner, I talked about the book The Culture Code by Daniel Coyle and how he describes building belonging to create culture. According to Coyle there are three cues for belonging: being part of a group, recognising the group is special because it has high standards, and the belief that you can reach those standards. We have high standards in Somes House, a strong sense of belonging, and pride, respect and commitment in everything we do. Culture is not something you are – it is something you do.
