CDW Design Meet talks: Material palettes for today's workspaces Tuesday 21st May 2024, 14:00-15:00 Venue: Design Fields, Northampton Road, EC1R 0DF Join leading workspace designers Perkins & Will and BDG architecture + design, in this interactive talk exploring material palettes for office design. Hosted by Eva Woode.
Mollie Atkins is a passionate and conceptual interior designer who joined Perkins&Will in 2018, having previously worked in Australia at Hassell Studio. Her experience is across the media, tech, and professional services sectors in London. As Mollie’s career has progressed in the workplace sector, her focus has been in planning and co-working spaces that facilitate a harmonious balance of working, dining, collaborating, and meeting post pandemic. The significance of materiality in these environments is featured in her most recent project, which breaks conventional norms using recycled, reused, reclaimed, and second-life materials. Lydia Randall is a Director of BDG architecture + design, an international practice with studios in London, New York and Sao Paulo. As a global account lead, she works with international clients including WPP and LEGO, fostering strong relationships and developing adaptable and responsive workspace strategies. With over 20 years’ experience in commercial architecture, her understanding of dynamic organisations, cultural influences and environmental pressures is essential in developing innovative and resilient building designs.

In this exceptional talk, Studio Found and A-nrd Studio discuss the importance of immersive and experience-led design when creating hospitality spaces. Hosted by Eva Woode. Ed Plumb, the driving force behind Studio Found, specialises in crafting exceptional hospitality and retail spaces worldwide. With a diverse background spanning designing for startups to major brands, Ed meticulously shapes both grand concepts and finer details in his designs. His approach centres on creating lasting spaces that defy fleeting trends. Expert in harmonising form and function, Ed has seamlessly integrated modern design into historically significant landmarks like the Tower of London and The Royal Exchange. A-nrd Studio are an award-winning London based practice specialising in transportive and immersive interior design. Founded by Alessio Nardi in 2015, together with creative partner Lukas Persakovas, the talented duo brings
together a breadth of expertise in international interior and furniture design having worked with the likes of Lee Broom and Tord Boontje and on projects for Galleries Lafayette and Bloomingdales. With a passionate hands-on approach and an original, experiential, and considered style, A-nrd Studio have gained a reputation for creating imaginative spaces that feel intimate and familiar.

A conversation with writer, TV presenter and former editor of ELLE Decoration UK, Michelle Ogundehin, on the power of our surroundings to enhance wellbeing. Hosted by Eva Woode.
Michelle Ogundehin is internationally renowned as a thought-leader on interiors, trends, and wellbeing. Originally trained as an architect and the former Editor-in-Chief of ELLE Decoration UK, she is the Head Judge on the BBC's Interior Design Masters, and the author of Happy Inside: How to Harness the Power of Home for Health and Happiness, a game- changing guide to living well. She is also a regular contributor to many prestigious publications worldwide including Vogue Living, FT How to Spend It magazine and Dezeen.
All Havwoods’ Design Meet talks are hosted by Eva Woode - curator and moderator, and founder of Edify Content Studio.
