“Natural Family” instead of “Nuclear,” “Traditional,” “Modern,” etc when speaking of the family of man. I realize that by not doing so I am purposely supporting this ev- idence-based best practice providing for a healthy vision of and practice in the family. A family that is supported by the laws of nature and na- ture’s God. I realize that using any term other than “Natural” not only leaves the door open but actually in- vites all kinds of aberrations and obstacles to this Best Family practice — The very same family content, struc- ture and practice that is as- cribed to in the Bible — aka
Every time I don’t hear it, it just drives me crazy. My friends, associ-
ates, family members and even pastoral acquaintances seem to purposely avoid using this tectonic word. Is it because of tradition or perhaps one fears a backlash if they use it? Maybe they don’t realize what it is they are not saying, so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt, at least for the moment.
We’re talking about a single word here, folks, and words mean things, right? For example, when we just use the word “family” in today’s marketplace of ideas to describe our human familial con- dition, this opens the door for any kind of family structure, content and practice. So we get smart and start using common terms like “Traditional/Modern” and or “Nuclear” to describe the human family. Unfortunately all three of these terms are quite vulnerable or elastic at best. For ex- ample, “Traditional” is a term that is sub- ject to time and as we all know, traditions evolve over time. So let’s scratch Traditional when it comes to describing a reliable fam- ily definition. And please, I’m not even going to insult you by trying to explain the dangers of using “Modern” when describing the Family, ugh. Just watch the ole TV se- ries for starters. Ah, but what about a Nuclear Family? Everyone knows what “nuclear” is sup- posed to mean when it comes to the family, right? Sadly even that description of the family is subject to contemporary interpre- tations. For example, if you look up “Nu- clear Family” in today’s Encyclopedia Britannica you will find that they correctly describe the family as a mother and father with children — however; they have now upgraded their definition to include same sex couples. So when you use the term “Nu- clear” to describe the family using Britan- nica as your guide, you are welcoming unnatural entities and opening the door to family confusion in the process.
Which leaves us with that often missed word when it comes to describing the fam- ily, that being the “Natural” Family. A fam- ily that is composed of “one biological born man and woman in a lifelong, committed,

monogamous relationship with their children, biological or adopted.” Each point in a Natural Family definition is a best practice that has served mankind well throughout the ages. Vary from it, and as history correctly points out, civilizations suffer and nations be- come extinct. Ask any psychologist, anthropologist, scientist, or crimi- nologist and they will all agree. If they do happen to differ they have to purposely ignore immutable “laws of nature and nature’s God” in order to try to make their case. Now since this is the first of the year 2025, I have a New Year’s Res- olution for you all to consider — A resolution that is needed to further the existence of this nation and the world in general. A promise to treat children in the best manner possi- ble and to avoid all of the modern- day abuses that they are being subjected to. A declaration that supports and strengthens this foun- dation of all societies and that dis- courages negative forces that seek to destroy it... So here goes: Be it resolved. In the year 2025, the day of our Lord and years to come, I promise to use the term
