Day 4: Mornington Peninsula - Lorne/Apollo Bay (124km/ 77 miles/ 1.5 hours to Lorne OR 169km/ 105 miles/ 2 hours to Apollo Bay) From Sorrento, catch the ferry across to Queenscliff. The ferry runs hourly from 6am to 7pm, and costs approximately $65 per vehicle (not included). Your journey begins along the iconic Great Ocean Road. Along the way see Bells Beach in the famous surfing town of Torquay, and the kangaroos of Anglesea. Stop to see the lighthouse at Cape Otway, the Loch Ard Gorge, the broken arch of London Bridge and the Bay of Martyrs and, of course, the amazing rock formations of the Twelve Apostles, huge stone pillars carved by the power of the sea. Note: Your car is booked until the following day, but must be returned by the same time it was picked up on day 1 to avoid additional charges. Day 1: Melbourne - Yarra Valley (52km/ 32 miles/ 1 hour) Drive via the towering forests and deep gullies of the beautiful Dandenong Ranges to the Yarra Valley, renowned for its superb wineries, excellent restaurants, cafés and art galleries. Perhaps take a wine tasting tour in one of the many cellars, or take the opportunity to meet some of the native wildlife at Healesville Sanctuary. See the cuddly koalas at the Koala Conservation Centre and, thanks to your included Three Park Pass, you’ll also have the chance to view the famous ‘Penguin Parade’ to watch hundreds of penguins waddle to their burrows at dusk.
