Pricesareperpersonbasedon twinshare Budget from Day 1: Darwin - Kakadu National Park First stop at Kakadu National Park, this national park covers 20,000 square kilometres, view historic Aboriginal rock art, to floodplains abundant with wildlife. Visit the Warradjan Cultural Centre to learn about the traditions of the Aboriginal people in Kakadu. Look for saltwater crocodiles on your cruise of Yellow Water Billabong. After lunch, stop at Nourlangie to view the rock art galleries. (L) Budget: Aurora Kakadu; Standard: Aurora Kakadu (Superior Room); Superior: Mercure Kakadu Crocodile Hotel Day 2: Kakadu - Darwin In the morning explore the World Heritage Area of Ubirr, where you’ll climb through Aboriginal rock art galleries, to the lookout for a view over the wetlands. Cruise along the East Alligator River. An Aboriginal guide will provide an insight into their culture. With special permission of the local people, go ashore in Arnhem Land. Visit the Bowali Visitor Centre before returning to Darwin. View Florence Falls before making your way down the stairs to the plunge pool below with an opportunity to swim. Then visit Tolmer Falls. Venture to Wangi Falls for a swim or an optional climb through the rainforest to the top of the falls. During the day you will stop for a picnic lunch. Enjoy lunch in Kakadu and visit the Bowali Visitor Centre. Take a guided walk to the top of Ubirr for great views. Note: During Nov, access to Ubirr and East Alligator River is not always possible. Alternative touring will be arranged. (L) Mercure Kakadu Crocodile Hotel Day 2: Kakadu National Park - Katherine Take in the renowned Aboriginal art site at Nourlangie Rock before a quick visit to Warradjan Cultural Centre where you’ll learn about the traditional custodians of Kakadu, the Bininj people. Then enjoy a cruise on the famous Yellow Water Billabong, spotting saltwater crocodiles as you go. In the afternoon, travel on to Katherine via Edith Falls where you have time for a refreshing dip in the natural pool (conditions permitting).
