Fiordland, Stewart Island & Invercargill The pristine wilderness of Fiordland is home to the world-famous Milford and Doubtful Sounds and is an internationally recognised World Heritage Site. Invercargill is home to grand architecture and world class facilities while a flight from here or a ferry from Bluff can take you directly to Stewart Island. Here, the outdoors has never been greater with an abundance of wildlife, clean crisp air and breathtaking scenery.

Day 1: Milford Sound This afternoon, board your Real Journeys vessel Milford Mariner at Milford Wharf, Milford Sound to commence a Milford Mariner Overnight Cruise. Cruise the full length of Milford Sound to the Tasman Sea and view spectacular alpine scenery including waterfalls, rainforest and towering peaks. Keep a look out for wildlife including seals, dolphins and penguins. Upon reaching the open sea the sails may be hoisted, subject to weather and conditions. The vessel then returns to the fiord and anchors overnight in sheltered Harrison Cove. Dinner is served on board and overnight accommodation is on board Milford Mariner. (D) Day 2: Milford Sound This morning, following a cooked or continental breakfast, there is time for further cruising before returning to Milford Wharf. Cruise concludes at approximately 9:15am, at Milford Sound Visitor Terminal. DOUBTFUL SOUND OVERNIGHT CRUISE Departures & Duration: Daily from Manapouri (01 Sep - mid May) Cruise across the crystal waters of Lake Manapouri to Deep Cove and board the Fiordland Navigator. Explore Doubtful Sound viewing waterfalls, rainforest, mountains and various wildlife. Anchor overnight and enjoy dinner and breakfast on board.
