HK AUDIO: The German Brand that Delivers Serious PA Speakers
W hen it comes to professional audio equipment, few brands can match the reputation of HK Audio. Founded in 1979 as an OEM manufacturer, this German company has been delivering high-quality speakers and PA systems for over four decades. What sets HK Audio apart from many of its competitors is its commitment to in-house manufacturing. Unlike some brands that simply slap their logo on outsourced products, HK Audio still produces its speakers in Germany, ensuring consistent quality and performance. One of HK Audio's latest offerings is the flagship active Linear 9 series. Designed for large venues and outdoor spaces, the Linear 9 series boasts high-power, long-throw loudspeakers that can fill any room with pristine audio.
The series features five different enclosures, all of which are traditional point-source designs. These include the 110 XA with a 10" mid/woofer and 700W RMS, the 112 XA with a 12" mid/woofer and 700W RMS, the 210 LTS with 2×10" mid/woofer, multi-cell transformer HF, and 1000W RMS, the 118 SUB A with a 1×18" subwoofer and 1100W RMS, and the 118 SUB BA with a 1×18" band-pass subwoofer and 110W RMS. One of the most impressive features of the Linear 9 series is its on-board DSP processing. Each enclosure comes with integrated class D power amplification and on-board DSP that provides access to a range of functions, including a 10-band EQ, variable filters (high pass, low pass), polarity, overall level, limiter, and mute.
