FOREWORD The Impact of Visual Stories
Visual storytelling is the most powerful form of communication. People remember visual narratives nearly five times more than spoken or written words and process images 60,000 times faster than text. This heightened memory and processing ability likely stem from our long history with visual narratives, from cave paintings to art on canvas. Through time, technological advances continually reshape how we communicate visually. In the 1800s, inventors and engineers—created the first photographs. The earliest known surviving image, View from the Window at Le Gras (1826), required over eight hours of exposure and was seen as a technical feat rather than an artistic one. Much like these early pioneers, Indian-born photographer and inventor Baldev Duggal revolutionized visual communication. In the late 1950s, Duggal arrived in New York City with only $200 and a passion for the arts. He began by developing prints in his apartment bathtub. By 1961, he founded Duggal Color in what is now New York’s iconic Photo District, starting with just three employees. In 1962, Baldev Duggal revolutionized film processing with the invention of the first dip-and-dunk machine, transforming a labor-intensive task into an automated process that delivered unmatched quality. Over the next five decades, Duggal dedicated his life to empowering creatives and enhancing visual narratives.

collaboration, ingenuity, and responsibility, we can inspire meaningful connections and lasting impressions. We are continually evolving to meet the needs of our partners and their audiences, leveraging advanced technology, sustainable practices, and the talents of our incredible team. As I reflect on our journey, I am reminded of what makes Duggal unique: our ability to anticipate change and act boldly. We don’t wait for things to completely stop before we stop doing them. We moved away from many conventional photographic services early on to focus on the future. And so we were early adopters of a lot of technology. This mindset fuels our ability to stay ahead, delivering exceptional solutions while embracing innovation. Central to Duggal’s ethos is our commitment to the communities we serve. We recognize the importance of using our platform and resources to drive positive change, support creativity, and foster inclusivity. Whether through partnerships with local organizations, engaging in pro bono projects for causes close to our hearts, or mentoring the next generation of creators, Duggal is dedicated to leaving a legacy of impact and inspiration. Through it all, I never forget my father’s advice: “If you’re going to do something, you might as well be the best.” His relentless pursuit of quality continues to inspire everything we do at Duggal. It’s a standard that defines our work and drives us to excel, ensuring we deliver only the best for our clients, our team, and our community. Looking ahead, we remain focused on our shared purpose: to empower our clients, uplift our communities, and lead with purpose and integrity. As we continue this journey, I am deeply grateful for the trust and loyalty of our partners, the dedication of our team, and the support of our community. Together, we are building a brighter and more connected future. Thank you for being a part of the Duggal story. Warm regards Michael Duggal CEO Duggal Visual Solutions

Bacardí transformed the Duggal Greenhouse into a surreal playground with Nocturnal Awakening , a Halloween spectacle produced by Kenzo Digital. The industrial space became the perfect canvas for this event, featuring mirrored chambers, an inverted night sky, and 'the abyss'—a 16-foot slide—leading to a snowy forest where guests morphed into holographic bats. This Halloween spectacle featured immersive visuals, soundscapes, and state-of-the-art projections. The event hosted 1,000 costumed guests, including Baz Luhrmann, Emily Ratajkowski, and Alicia Keys, and featured musical performances by Swizz Beatz, DJ Runna, and Mark Ronson, who filled the space with deep hip-hop, funk, and soul. After months of planning and just days of construction, the venue became both a party space and the set for Kenzo Digital’s short film. The event completely transformed the Greenhouse, turning it into a world where art, music, and Spooky season collided.

American artist Barbara Kruger's thought-provoking work spans more than 40 years of observing, examining, and challenging our culture through a collage of different mediums. We produced multiple exhibitions of her art at museums across the East Coast. This beautiful exhibition, Thinking of You. I Mean Me. I Mean You. at MoMa in NYC, showcases Kruger's decades of bold statements through nearly an entire square mile of vinyl graphics winding through the museum and spilling into the city streets.

For Dior's Spring-Summer 2023 collection honoring Josephine Baker, we collaborated with the amazing teams at Bureau Betak and Mickalene Thomas's studio to produce over forty 10ft x 12ft printed wallpapers. Using eco-friendly, fire-retardant Poly Duck Fabric, high-resolution dye sublimation printing captured the artwork's intricate details and vibrant colors. These prints were sent to India for hand-embroidered embellishments before being shipped and installed in Paris, France, for the runway show. The final result reflected the collection's shimmering essence. DYE SUBLIMATION

We teamed up with American Express to bring their Technology Concierge to life—a space where innovation, branding, and functionality come together seamlessly. More than just a workplace feature, this hub was designed to support AMEX employees and reflects the company’s forward-thinking vision and deep-rooted history. A striking spatial element is the digital wall, showcasing historical images dating back to American Express’s founding in 1860. The display is powered by Duggal content management system (CMS), enabling real-time visual updates for evolving brand needs. To enhance the employee experience, we created custom signage above each service desk for clear wayfinding while reinforcing the AMEX brand. Behind the desks, a seamless wide-format wall covering—featuring the iconic American Express sentinel—adds a polished, sophisticated backdrop. We also designed a snap-frame system to showcase the latest computer technologies available to employees, keeping the space fresh and engaging. Every detail reflects a commitment to creating environments that are both beautiful and functional, ensuring that the Technology Concierge is not just a space—but a thoughtful experience.
