This interactive art installation on the High Line in New York City marked the release of Hulu's The Handmaid’s Tale. Designed by Paula Scher and Abbott Miller in collaboration with Civic Entertainment Group, we fabricated and installed this intricate display featuring 4,000 free paperback copies of Margaret Atwood's novel. The installation included a custom shelving system with vibrant red graphics, holding the books on concealed shelves at the back. As visitors took the novels, the structure gradually deconstructed, revealing messages of female empowerment and anti-authoritarian resistance.
