and Commission regulations that apply to prediction markets, the types of event contracts that may be prohibited as contrary to the public interest, cost-benefit considerations related to prediction markets, and other topics.”; and WHEREAS, the CFTC is requesting written comments by April 30, 2026. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, IGA opposes the CFTC initiating or drafting regulations that would solidify or give the appearance of legitimizing sports contracts in the absence of explicit statutory language; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, IGA urges all tribal and state governments to submit comments opposing the proposed rulemaking in light of the many lawsuits currently in process, and federal legislation that has been introduced to curb the proliferation of events contracts; and BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED , that this will be the policy of IGA until it is withdrawn or modified by subsequent resolutions. CERTIFICATION The foregoing resolution was adopted by the Board of Directors at the 2026 Annual Meeting of the Indian Gaming Association, held at the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego, March 30, 2026, with a quorum present.
