Breeding American System of Judging

Breeding Rules 1. All females 24 months of age or older at the beginning day of the Fair must have a calf at side or show obvious signs of pregnancy or have a veterinarian’s certificate of pregnancy. 2. Breeding animals may not be shown in Market Divisions. 3. Legible tattoo is required. No tattooing on the Fairgrounds. 4. Junior Yearling and older bulls must be shown with nose ring or lead. 5. All females over 12 months of age must bear evidence of official calf hood vaccinations against brucellosis. 6. Must be owned by the exhibitor 60 days prior to Fair. 7. Registry by the applicable association is required. Original registration papers must be checked prior to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 15. 8. Beef will be divided into breed divisions after close of entries. Breeds will be at the discretion of the Livestock Show Management. Any breed divisions will have at least 3 different exhibitors to qualify for a separate division. All others will be put into the All-Other Breed division.
