CLASS

1. FFA First Year Project Members (Ribbon Only) Open to members exhibiting that species of livestock for the first time ever. If an exhibitor has exhibited the project in another organization, he/she is not eligible for this class. First year project exhibitors may show in class 6 as well. 2. 4-H Beginner (Ribbon Only) Open to members 9-10 years old as of December 31, 2022. Top three winners in this class compete in the next age group. 3. 4-H Junior (Ribbon only) Open to members 11-13 years old as of December 31, 2022. Winner of class qualifies for Junior Master Showmanship. Previous Junior Master Showmanship winners may show in Intermediate. 4. 4-H Intermediate (Ribbon and Cash Award) Open to 4-H members 14-15 years old as of December 31, 2022. Top three winners in this class will compete in the next age group. 5. 4-H Advanced (Ribbon and Cash Award) Open to 4-H members 16 and over as of December 31, 2022. Winner of this class qualifies for Master Showmanship. 6. FFA Advanced (Ribbon and Cash Award) Open to FFA members. Winner of this class qualifies for Master Showmanship.

Market Rules 1. Market swine may be either gilts or barrows under 8 months of age. 2. All market swine must weigh between 210 and 280 pounds. The maximum pay to weight for the Junior Livestock auction is 280 pounds. 3. All breeds will be called at weigh in by an official breed caller. Animals will be transferred to the appropriate class if needed. The breed caller’s decision is final. 4. At the discretion of management, each class will be broken down further by live weight. Management will determine the number of market classes to be judged after weigh-in. 5. All divisions with fewer than five entries will be combined at the discretion of livestock show management. Swine breeds with 15 or more animals weighed in will receive their own division. 6. The Champions and Reserve Champion will have their ear tags rechecked in the show ring.
