Logistics Transport was another key challenge addressed by our modular cleanroom solution. The modular cleanrooms were designed to be dispatched as required to any global location. Understanding and addressing the transport requirements was key to the success of the innovation. Following review by our project team, it was decided that the modular solution would adhere to standard ISO 40-foot shipping container size. This ensured any destination that could be accessed by standard shipping containers, could be accessed by the modular cleanroom solution. The modular cleanrooms also included standard container ISO blocks on all corners, allowing them to use standard trucks and trailers for transport. Addressing the transportation issues, reduced the need for special transport arrangements for cleanroom modules, reducing cost and additional coordination for BioNTech. Well done team Germfree! Overall using our innovative process, Germfree was able to take our client’s need, identify a solution to their need and deliver a solution in the form of a standardised and repeatable design. This design is globally applicable and can be modified slightly to suit each new location, depending on local requirements such as climate, building codes and any other factors that influence building design. The team has successfully developed a flexible and scalable solution that we can sell to customers across multiple sectors and jurisdictions. Well done to all who were involved with this highly innovative project. Your commitment and dedication to the project ensured we deliver excellence for the client and helped create positive change for those in Rwanda and beyond.
