A s I found out, much to my surprise, few things are more rewarding and dare I say it, fun, than getting a big family group together for a summer holiday. What’s the secret and why am I not full of cautionary tales? Turns out, choosing the right place to stay is the trick, and I’m delighted to share my new found wisdom. The Arula Chalets in Lech are in fact two chalets: Arula 1, sleeping 22 guests across nine en-suite rooms and Arula 2, sleeping 8 guests across four en-suite rooms. Happily, they
can be booked separately, but can also be connected, if you’re really intent on spreading the love this summer. But before I go into details, let’s talk location. The village of Lech sits at 1450m and as you can imagine these lofty heights make it a very popular destination in winter; Lech Zürs is actually part of the Ski Arleberg region, Austria’s largest connected ski area.
