Dr. Hoffman:
I want to welcome everybody to our show today. We have a number of very important guests to share vital information about the vaccination issue. Now, why the vaccination issue? Well, it’s not a chiropractic issue per se, but it is a patient decision issue, and in that, I personally believe that patients have a right to make informed decisions about what they do with their healthcare for themselves and the rest of their family. Today, we’re going to talk about how to communicate with your patients, and how to educate them so that they can make these informed decisions. I don’t want any of our doctors out there to wind up in front of their chiropractic board because they’re saying something that’s inappropriate or indefensible. I want our guests today to be able to share with you information on how you can know more about what’s going on, especially the lawsuit that’s happening in California right now, how you can participate, and how you can educate patients safely and effectively. I want to start today with a longtime friend of mine, Dr. Tedd Koren. Tedd has been educating chiropractors, the public, and patients on the vaccination issue for so many years. In fact, his educational materials, a number of years back were called into question by the FTC, and he hired an attorney, Jim Turner, who’s going to be on our show in a few minutes as well, to help fight the FTC. Tedd is one of the few people that have ever beat the FTC. His communication materials have stood the test of time, and he has valuable information. I want to start by A, welcoming you Tedd, but I also want to ask you, how did you originally get into the vaccination issue and decide that it was important to educate the doctors, and therefore their patients on having freedom of choice when it comes to this? Thank you, Stu. Well, everything in life is personal. My son was born, and the issue of vaccination was no more than just theoretical. I had to know whether or not I should vaccinate him. Now, vaccination is really the most extreme exponent of medical philosophy. It’s everything chiropractic is not. Vaccination is really based on the medical mechanistic philosophy, and chiropractic is [vitalistic 00:02:44]. There’s no real problem to think about why DD and BJ Palmer both criticized vaccination, were very much against it, apart from being totally unnatural, and against what the body is trying to do. It’s suppressive whereas chiropractic is expressive. I got into it personally, and then I began to have a problem, because my programming growing up was very pro vaccine, as most of our programming was. Most chiropractic students, most chiropractors were brought up, told how great vaccination was, got rid of all these diseases. I was scared. Although in my heart I didn’t want to vaccinate my son, part of me was thinking, am I really making the right decision by not vaccinating him? Is he somehow unprotected? Is it worth
