California doesn’t go down and then watch a tumbling effect around the country.
I want to invite you. Actually, I want to request of you to join me in donating to this cause. This is going to cost a fortune to fight the state of California. We have certain groups that have committed their resources including dollars and cents behind this, and I’m one of them. I want everyone that has any motivation about this issue to join and help the people out in California, so that we can do what’s right for the people that need a voice. I just want to bring Dr. Riekeman back for a minute, because over the years, through what you’ve done from seminars, consulting, educating doctors on an academic level as well as on a seminar level, you are a master communicator. I want to see if you can elaborate a little bit, since I don’t want to make this an anti- vaccination issue. How do the doctors communicate to their patients how they really should have, at the very least, freedom of choice, when it comes to their healthcare, and make resources available to them so that they can make an informed choice for themselves and their family? Is that something you could respond to for me? Sure. I have a couple of comments. One is there's a lot of great material that’s already been produced. I know Tedd has material, as you’ve talked about it. Barbara Loe Fisher with the National Vaccine Information Center has a lot of information. We just had her recently on campus speaking to our Life Talks program. Her whole position, she’s done a fabulous job of putting together a history, which both the attorneys referred to, a history of where this came from that leads up to a freedom of choice issue. There are also organizations that out there that you can participate. There’s a group going around, they came here to Atlanta then marched on the CDC, the Center for Disease Control, called Transparency, Freedom … I got this wrong, Truth, Transparency, and Freedom. Excuse me, Truth, Transparency, and Freedom. They had close to a couple thousand people that marched on the Center for Disease Control. Barbara Loe Fisher led some of that march, because 30 years ago, she stood on the steps of the CDC demanding some responses to the fact that her child had been damaged after a vaccine episode. We had these people on campus, for example, so we can make resources available to people and groups that are out there already that are working, and they’re pooling together collections of groups so the chiropractor doesn’t have to feel isolated on their own, even though educating on a one on one basis is an important issue. It was really interesting when we gave a portion of our campus over for meeting facilities to the Truth, Transparency, and Freedom rally that was going on, at the last minute, Louis Farrakhan, this civil rights activist, announced that he was going to speak. It was funny that almost no one in town from a media standpoint paid much attention until Louis Farrakhan stepped up to the table. Then of course, I’ve got a myriad of emails demanding why we would allow Louis Farrakhan on the campus, so much so that we had to respond to it.
