Autumn Highlights
March 2026
Ye Old Brass Band came to play for us, and their mix of timeless classics and lively favourites had everyone singing along. St Patrick’s Day brought plenty of laughter, with potato bowls, tossing the gold coin into the pot of gold, an art session and themed bingo. We packed up for a picnic at Shorncliffe pier, and even without the sun the fresh sea air and the sound of the waves made it a lovely afternoon. Many of us remembered bringing our own children there years ago. On Harmony Day our staff dressed in cultural attire representing their heritage and shared dishes from around the world, a lovely reminder of the many cultures that make up daily life here. We finished the month with a visit to the Redcliffe Museum, swapping stories of the area as we made our way through the exhibits.
